Resume Import — bring an existing PDF, DOCX or text file

Import a PDF, DOCX, TXT or JSON backup into the builder. Review every extracted field before anything is inserted.

Starting over is wasteful when you already have a resume. Import reads your file in this browser, extracts what it recognises and shows you the result before a single field is touched.

Supported formats

  • DOCX — read reliably; paragraph structure is preserved
  • TXT / Markdown / pasted text — the most reliable input of all
  • JSON — a full backup produced here, restored exactly
  • PDF — best effort. Simple PDFs with standard fonts extract well; PDFs using complex embedded CID fonts cannot be decoded without a full font pipeline, in which case paste your text instead

How it behaves

  • Nothing is uploaded — the file is parsed on your device
  • You review a summary of what was found before inserting
  • You choose append or replace; nothing is silently overwritten
  • Files above 8 MB are rejected before they are read
